Fun Easter Crafts and Activities for Daycare


Easter is a wonderful time to get creative with kids at daycare! Here are some fun craft ideas and activities that will bring joy to little ones while helping them develop fine motor skills, creativity, and teamwork.

1. Easter Egg Hunt with Clues

A traditional egg hunt is always exciting, but adding clues makes it even more engaging! Hide eggs around the daycare with fun riddles leading to the next one. You can find a great list of 40 Easter Egg Hunt Clues here.

2. Handprint Bunny Cards

Help kids make adorable bunny cards using their handprints. Simply have them dip their hands in pastel-colored paint and press onto cardstock. Add googly eyes, a pom-pom nose, and whiskers to complete the bunny. You can also create DIY decorations for Easter that make great keepsakes.

3. Egg Carton Chicks

Recycle egg cartons by turning them into cute baby chicks! Paint sections yellow, add paper beaks and googly eyes, and let the kids decorate their own little Easter friends. Making Egg carton chicks is so much fun, this tutorial by Living Well Mom is perfect.

4. Easter Sensory Bins

5. Bunny Hop Relay Race

For some active fun, organize a bunny hop race! Kids can hop like bunnies to a finish line while carrying an Easter egg on a spoon. This kit full of bunny potato sack race items is perfect for your relay race!

Leaf Stamping Card Craft

  The leaves are turning colour and beginning to fall to the ground. To create some of the best nature crafts we have to embrace the seasons and collect the leftovers nature is tossing to the side. I love leaf crafts and they can be so much fun to make. Not to mention how much money you save when you utilize free resources given to you by Mother Nature.  You will need: Leaves Card stock  Paint Paper Markers 1. Let the kids run around and collect leaves off the ground. An assortment of different leaves will help to create different shapes and designs on each card.  2. Let the kids paint the backside of the leaves where the veins are. Choose fall colours if you wish to create the ambiance of autumn.   We love to celebrate all the different stages of life, events, and holidays in our daycare. September is definitely the best time to promote back to school and education! Keeping the joy and happiness of school can be a challenge as kids get older so if you try to keep it fun and exciting even when they are teens it can help encourage the positive experience.
